Dresden & Leipzig

The Green Vault, the Church of Our Lady, the Canaletto View and the Semper Opera House are just a few of the highlights of DRESDEN. Splendidly endowed by its electors and kings, almost lost in the last days of the Second World War, the city centre presents itself like a fairytale come true. The old trading and trade fair city of LEIPZIG was the scene of the first protests that finally led to the fall of the Iron Curtain and today presents itself as a young metropolis. Both are proud of their great musical tradition: the Semperoper is certainly one of the most iconic opera houses in Europe. Leipzig's Gewandhaus is home to one of the world's leading orchestras.

Berlin

BERLIN, Germany's capital, captivates with its contrasts between historic buildings and contemporary architecture. There are 170 museums, including the Museum Island with the Pergamon Museum. Three opera houses and one of the world's best orchestras, the Berlin Philharmonic, make Berlin an Eldorado for lovers of classical music. Theatre, cabaret and revue theatre provide entertainment for every taste. Nevertheless, Berlin is one of the greenest metropolises with numerous parks, green spaces and lakes and forests in the nearby surroundings.

We also recommend MUNICH, the small fine Bavarian capital, HAMBURG, the brittle in the north and the RHEIN from Cologne to Koblenz.
